Voice overs

For manifestation of the spirit, for the unification of my people and as a call to love, righteousness and introspection, I’m a poet out of necessity. A reflection of me, my poetry speaks on the unspoken and sensitive, the uplifting and the invisible. A well-spoken, outspoken, black woman in a tumultuous world, my poetry functions as an extension of me; an extension that allows me to operate as a messenger. I’ve found myself impressionable to anything that reminds me of ‘home’, earthiness and sensuality, drenching my poetry in jazz and soul.

So far, I’ve performed and hosted at many poetry nights, festivals and other cultural events in The Netherlands. I have spoken on stages such as Paradiso, Woorden Worden Zinnen, Stedelijk Museum, deBalie, Soul Food Poetry, Melkweg, and Pakhuis de Zwijger. In October 2018, exactly a year after my first performance, I co-founded the Amsterdam based cultural & creative platform We The People…, hosting & organizing poetry nights of my own.

My passion for people and empowerment has also inspired me to work as a teacher at children’s afterschool programs.

You can also book me for a voice over for your corporate & commercial projects. Companies I’ve worked with include Timberland EU, Netherlands Forensic Institue (NFI), Amsterdamse Poort (CBRE), and Aectual.
